The Imagery of Blue Grass Music

They had a great blue grass band play at The Heron Cay Community where I live in Vero Beach Florida . As I was sitting there in the small sterile auditorium surrounded by old folks, like me, some who had never heard blue grass before, I was taken back to my childhood days growing up in a small southern town.

On the strings of a banjo, guitar, fiddle and mandolin there arises the smell of honeysuckle, visions of blooming azaleas, dogwoods and rhododendron

Bees buzzing, a cool breeze on a hot summers evening, a bubbling brook and a dusk that last forever

fireflies rise up from the grass and into the trees as the long days evening turns to night.
